We recently built a brand new, 4-bedroom home in a small town minutes from San Francisco, California. Our home has a fun, informal feel with plenty of space to curl up with a good book or a big dog (or both!)   We keep it tidy, but we make sure that our home is a place to live in and be comfortable, not just a pretty place to look at.
 Our house has a bright, sunny playroom built just for kids, where our children will be able to build forts, draw, paint, learn, and follow their dreams. We have a big kitchen with a huge island where the whole family can get together and make pizza, cookies, or whatever fun recipe we can dream up!

  

_  Our community is very ethnically-diverse and has a wonderful, friendly, small-town feel, with neighbors who look out for each other and lots of community events. It is a welcoming and safe place where we have made many great friends who love Tommy and are all excited about and supportive of our desire to further build our family through adoption.Our neighborhood has great schools, parks, biking and hiking trails, tennis and basketball courts, an outdoor pool, and a very cool skateboard park, all within walking distance. Our local public library and community center are one block from our house, so we spend lots of time at both places.
 Barb belongs to our neighborhood's mothers' group that organizes Easter Egg hunts, picnics, kids' movie nights, and Halloween parties, as well as weekly playgroups for babies and toddlers. It's a great environment for our children to grow up in and we wouldn't trade it for anywhere else!
